Meet Ziggy the 'Nanoraptor'Meet Ziggy the 'Nanoraptor'Cute little lizard found in Bathust NSW Australia.

How cute. He looks like a baby dinosaur. He was an agile little critter. I have never seen anything like him, especially not in Bathurst. If anyone can I.D. him for me that would be great. He was about 10cms long, looked quite soft, has a semi transparent white patterned tongue which is not forked. I know I have some experts who follow my page, I'm sure we will find out in due time. I randomly found him in my kitchen sink last night, couldn't help but get a photo before returning him to the great outdoors. Hope you find him as cute as I do. A nice little break from all the landscapes of late.

Misty Forest - Yetholme, NSW, AustraliaMisty Forest - Yetholme, NSW, AustraliaNice depth with the low cloud on this one

One from the archives to break up all the water shots.. Back home and its coooold. I love the sense of depth in this one given by the mist and the compression from the long focal length :) Hope you all had a great weekend!

Virtual Worlds - Kingscliff, New South Wales, AustraliaVirtual Worlds - Kingscliff, New South Wales, AustraliaLong exposure of rocks with a polarizing filter really helps cut the glare so you can see right through the water.

This one is a long exposure of some rocks at Kingscliff with a polarizing filter. It really helps cut the glare so you can see right through the water. I don't often do vertical landscapes, but it works well in this instance to get the beautiful sunrise as well as the detail in the foreground.

Barrel Rider - Fingal Beach, NSW, AustraliaBarrel Rider - Fingal Beach, NSW, AustraliaSurfers training for a competition at sunrise this morning at Fingal Head.

This surfer was training for a competition at sunrise this morning at Fingal Head. I love the way the early morning light shines through the wave. There were a bunch of surfers in this spot and they all cheered when she jumped on one of the biggest waves of the morning. She is even trailing a hand in the wave and has her tongue out for extra concentration. Had a friendly chat to the coach and a fellow photographer. Thought it would mix up the sunrise shots a bit :)

This was one of those spectacular sunset moments where it had me running for my camera! Always love the 'God Rays' and this one is a cracker. Got lucky with a flock of birds too :)
