Let there be light - Hastings Point, NSW, Australia
Sometimes people add a personal element to landscapes. This was a random guy enjoying the sunrise. I was able to quickly re-position myself to get a nice composition. Managed to even get him mid movement with some nice waves at the same time. It started off as a disappointing sunrise, but the God Rays and last minute cloud made for a nice shot :) This image is really growing on me. I love the connection between man an nature. Bathurst Courthouse at sunriseI took this image last week when we had a spectacular sunrise. Unfortunately I missed the best bit, but it makes for a nice composition with the orange fading to the blue in the center. I would normally straighten my verticals for architectural shots however this one was to be more artistic and get the sky as much as the building, which is not really an option with this wide angle lens. Looking forward to Illuminate Bathurst when this beautiful architecture will be lit up like Vivid Sydney as part of the Bathurst200 bicentenary celebrations on 9 May, 4 July, 9 October. Yellow flower in the sun
Do I get points for a creative title! :) I have no idea what this flower is but it looked nice in the sun. If anyone out there can help me out that would be great. This was one of the shots I took when testing out the Sigma's ability for macro. It was taken at 600mm from about 1.5 meters away. Not too shabby. I liked how there is so much contrast in this shot, to expose the flower correctly the background is so dark. Anyway, I haven't shared a flower for a while, so here you go :) Floating Farm - Bathurst, NSW, Australia
One of my favorite views is a foggy Bathurst viewed from Mt. Panorama just after sunrise. I took this one on Monday, such nice light across the fog, gives an other worldly feel to it. I have another shot of just the house floating in a sea of cloud but this one tells a more complete story I think. Hope you all have a great weekend! Electric Sunset - Mt. Panorama, Bathurst, Australia
Awesome lightning show in Bathurst tonight. This is the view west from the top of Mt. Panorama. Pretty cool to get lightning and sunset all in one shot. There were quite a few people popping up to check out the show. Still going now if you look out to the east :)
