Natural Bridge - Springbrook National Park, Gold Coast, QLD, Australia
Well, its holiday time!!! I will at be spending at least some of my time back on the beautiful Gold Coast which I am very much looking forward too. I am not sure how frequently I will be able to post over the next few weeks, but rest assured, I will be taking plenty of photos! I am sure you will all get to appreciate the beauty of this great country through my lens in the very near future! :)
Wait up Mum! - Machattie Park, Bathurst, NSW, AustraliaOne of the many ducklings in Machattie Park at the moment. Very cute little fella. He was getting quite a bit of speed up. Happy with the range and sharpness of this shot. Taken with the Sigma 150-600mm lens @600mm f6.3 1/250sec, ISO 640. http://www.davidromaphotography.com/wildlife Beautiful Ireland - Liscannor, County Clare
Beautiful Ireland Bullseye - Triggertrap tutorial
The fastest speed of many cameras is around 2000th of a second. Even if you did manage to time this right, that is still too slow to avoid seeing motion blur in this kind of fast moving subject. What you are seeing here is actually a 2 second exposure in a dark room where the only light the camera picks up is from two flashes firing on their lowest (fastest) power setting (1/128) which is ~24000th of a second. Update: Here are some other shots taken with the same technique. Enjoy! :)
