Farmers delight
The spectacular sunset from last night. Many of you got to experience the storm first hand, but it was beautiful from a distance... This is a view over a harvested field in Cowra looking back towards Bathurst. The cloud was amazing, difficult to capture all the shades of pink. I had hoped to get a more interesting foreground but when chasing a sunset shot like this you only have a few minutes to capture it, so you have to settle for the best location you can find quick! Looking forward to storm season :) Not as ugly as you would think
Well I not intended to actually share this shot, but I do like to keep you on your toes. I actually thought it was a nice shot in the end and it's quite interesting to see a part of my town I have never seen before. I don't understand how this all works, but pretty sure it starts on the left and ends on the right in the river. Wallerawang Power Station
Wallerawang Power Station is a thermal coal power station, located near Wallerawang, in the Central Tablelands region of New South Wales,Australia. "Mum... Why don't I look like you?". I finally spotted this rare white Kangaroo. The sun was setting and I didn't have my camera with me. I rushed home, got my gear and headed back out. To my delight they were still there. I managed to snap this shot at 600mm before they bounced off out of my view. It was getting quite dark, so I am looking forward to getting a better quality shot in sunlight one day. It certainly was a treat to see such a rare animal with my own eyes. And no, this is not a photoshop trick, they are real. Feel free to share this image or give it a creative caption :) The perfect view
The view from the highest point of Hamilton Island, Passage Peak. This was my favorite view out over the Whitsundays. It was not a hard walk, but it was long and really really humid. This view makes it all worth while though. I just love the vibrant blue water at Hamilton Island. Polarizing sunglasses are a must up here; they really emphasize the rich blues and the contrast of the shadows of the clouds. I had originally only planned to stay for 5 minutes, but once I saw this view I couldn't bring myself to leave it for quite some time. Wishing you all a peaceful evening and great week ahead. |
