New Perspectives - Bathurst Courthouse

It is amazing how different the world looks from the air. Bathurst welcomes you with open arms. I got lucky early Saturday morning, the road was closed, there was no one around and the sun poked through the moody clouds at just the right moment for this beautiful shot of the Bathurst Court House.

Such amazing spread of feathers on this Currawong. This guy can fly like a master. I thew up a little bit of food, and he caught it mid air perfectly. I'm not sure if I like this shot. Be interested to hear what you all think. Perhaps its just because its such a common bird, maybe if it were a bird of paradise it would be different ;)

An unusual composition aiming to capture the beauty of the foreground and the unmistakable skyline of the Warrumbungles. For those of you that don't know the Warrumbungles is a national park near Coonabarabran in New South Wales. It is also home to the Siding Spring Observatory as it's spectacular place to view the stars in NSW.

Hope you all have a peaceful evening.

The FA-18 Super Hornet Jet over the V8 Supercars at Mt. Panorama Bathurst. This was an absolutely spectacular show. I was expecting just a flyover, but it went for a good 10mins, full of tight turns low passes, stalls, and a bunch of things I don't know the names for. I love this shot, such clarity of the metal and seeing the jets and heat coming of the back makes it. The Sigma 150-600 at work again. I had a sore arm holding it up by the end of the show....

Condensed

Another shot showing the air condensing during a tight maneuver. Love it!

A panorama of the baby waterfall before it goes off the cliff into the ocean. This is the composition of 5 images spanning about 170 degrees. I took this one not long before sunset. Its a spectacular place, I would love to do the full walk one day.
