Rotorglow - Bathurst 12hr 2015
Laurens Vanthoor is now the new lap record holder at Mt. Panorama in Bathurst with a blistering time set in qualifying of 2:02.55s. Markus Winkelhock started the race in the Phoenix Racing's Audi R8 at sunrise getting the brakes glowing red hot coming into the chase. It was an amazing atmosphere at the start of the race this year as it's getting more and more popular. Watching the starting laps from the chase is awesome as the sun rises and the rotor glow slowly fades. All day the positions have been shifting between the Audi R8, Ferrari 458, Mercedes SLS and mighty Nissan GTR Godzilla. Bathurst 12hr 2015
I was up the mount doing a photo shoot for a company and thought I would get a few shots for fun afterwards.. So pumped for the Bathurst 12hr this year. I love the surreal feel to this image. I created it by using ND filters to force a long exposure in the early morning of this overcast day. It's quite a nice view to wake up to in Port Mac after a long tired drive. Quite a funny story behind this shot, feel free to ask me about it sometime.

Timon the Meerkat

How cute is this little guy. He reminds me of Timon from the Lion King. Its a Meerkat on the lookout at Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo. They are so cool to watch. Very well organised. One Meerkat would be on the highest rock, looking out for predators, turning their head left to right like they are watching tennis. Then another one would get up on a rock nearby and start looking out. After a little while the first would realise his shift is over and leave the other one in charge of lookout. So cute.
Foreign Exchange - Gold Coast, Australia
This is one of my favorite images from my trip to the Gold Coast, I think because it’s something different. I’m sure there must be other images out there like this, but I am yet to see one. Another great use of the Sigma 150-600mm lens which is getting way more use than I ever imagined. I took this around sunrise where the dark clouds were masking the sun.
