Pretty n Pink - Bathurst, NSW, AustraliaI loved the look of these swirling clouds so drove to the best place I could find in limited time to capture the pink sunset before it faded away. Not a massive fan of the foreground but its a typical country view out here topped with a beautiful sky. Poppy - Blue Mountains Botanic GardenA poppy is a flowering plant in the subfamily Papaveroideae of the family Papaveraceae. Poppies are herbaceous plants, often grown for their colourful flowers. One species of poppy, Papaver somniferum, produces edible seeds, and is also the source of the crude drug opium which contains powerful medicinal alkaloids such as morphine and has been used since ancient times as an analgesic and narcotic medicinal and recreational drugs. Following the trench warfare which took place in the poppy fields of Flanders, during the 1st World War, poppies have become a symbol of remembrance of soldiers who have died during wartime. Make a wish - Ferrari F458 Italia GT3 2013I was going through my photos from the Bathurst 12hr and couldn't resist but to share another one. Such a beautiful car, its lines and symbolic red colour are really emphasized in this image. Thanks to Vicious Rumour Racing for getting this car on track. Driven by A.Montermini, Bsimonsen, R.Loberto they came in with an impressive 6th outright. Hope your week is off to a good start everybody! Calming Seas - Dee Why Head
Not far from the “Don’t Jump” sign along the cliff was this spectacular view. This one is a 2 minute long exposure to really smooth out the waves crashing over the rocks and flowing in to the pool. I love the smoothness of the water and the transition of colours, blues, white, green, orange. Took me a while to figure out how to get down off the cliff to shoot from the railing at the pool but I managed to as the sun left and lights from the town took over.
Siamang Praise - Western Plains Zoo Dubbo, NSW, AustraliaSiamangs live in close-knit family groups in well-defined territories. Singing, swinging and branch shaking keep other Siamang families away. This is another shot taken with the Sigma 150-600mm lens. Getting so much use out of it :)
